If you are reading these lines, you are probably aware of the one big fundamental flow in our lives: We are not free, at least most of us are not.

Regardless of where you live, what you do and what you believe in, we are the prisoners of our financial insecurity and you know this.

Luckily, we have tools to break free: Business and finance, or more precisely, building businesses and investing in them.

This is the path.

What Is Capitalist-Letters?

Capitalist-Letters is mainly a publication dedicated to make you a better investor by teaching the craft of investing and also to provide actionable tips to help you make money.

We do this in two ways: Posts about fundamental knowledge and stock deep dives.

But, Capitalist-Letters is actually way more than this.

If it was like other finance/investing publications, I could easily name it with a clear reference to investing.

This would have never satisfied me though

The reason is simple, I think investing is one of the most complex crafts in the world.

Fundamental knowledge of investing and markets could be learnt pretty easily in a few months but this won’t make you a better investor.

Investing is essentially about understanding businesses which is connected to knowledge in industrial organization. It all goes back to how the businesses are created so you need to understand entrepreneurship and also principles of venture capital. You want to invest in durable businesses so you need to understand the competition theory, entry/exit barriers, unfair advantages etc

All of the above aspects, after all, are intricacies created by the Capitalist system. This is why we have “Capitalist-Letters”, the name inspired from Federalist Papers.

We are trying to understand the whole system because everything is interconnected.

I have never seen a good investor who doesn’t have a very good grasp on competition dynamics or industrial organization.

Why Should You Subscribe?

There are thousands of publications about investing pumping out stock deep dives one after another.

Each of them brings an individual perspective but without the interconnectedness I just mentioned, they don’t mean much. You are like reading the good ideas of other people.

Capitalist-Letters is different.

I talk about fundamentals, psychology of investing and business, economic models, thought processes, competition policy and everything that creates the system we live in. Then, I create investment theses, deep dives and broader strategies based on what I discuss.

This way, Capitalist-Letter is distinguishes itself from others that are just compilations of best ideas to a broader forum where we can actually discuss and learn what matters collectively.

I promise you, subscribing to Capitalist-Letters will be a rewarding learning experience!
